Guided Fly Fishing Float Trips

Float trips are a special experience for anglers and non-anglers alike. Our full and half day float trips allow you to see multiple river miles in some of the most scenic areas in Colorado. We  offer fast paced floats down the Eagle and Roaring Fork Rivers as well as slow meandering floats down the magnificent Colorado River. Each river fishes different than the other but they all provide excellent angling opportunities. Float Trips allow you to see sections of river that are not always accessible by foot and put you in places where fish do not see a lot of angling pressure.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Our guides will pick you up at your location or you can meet us at our riverside cabin in Wolcott.  From here you will have anywhere from a 5 minute to 45 minute ride depending on which river you would like to float. Upon arriving our guides will prepare the boats and fly fishing equipment at the boat launch. We are required to give you a brief saftey overview to make you aware of the surrounding elements,. As an outfitter we are also required to wear PFD’s whenever we are in the boat. We provide comfortable PFD’s that will not hinder your ability to fly fish. Float trips cover an average of 7 river miles through some incredibly scenic Colorado country. So be sure to bring your camera. There is an abundance of bird life along the river and we often see Eagles, Owls, Ospreys and Hawks. We occasionally run into some Deer, Elk and Moose as well. We practice catch and release so all fish caught must be released immediately. We are more than happy to take photos of your trip/ fish and email them to you at the end of the day. Full day float trips include a riverside lunch complete with table and chairs. Our guides also have a cooler full of cold beverages and snacks for your convenience. After an excellent float trip our guides will drive you back to your location then email you photos from the day. Take a peak at our fly fishing photo gallery and see the Colorado Trout you can expect to catch. We look forward to taking you on an exciting Colorado Fly Fishing Float Trip. If you have any medical or dietary needs please let us know at the time of booking so we can better serve you.
