While we strive to give you first-class riverside lunches, our cast and taste trips are the next level. Join us at our private riverfront cabin on the Eagle River while our staff of private chefs use local ingredients to prepare an outstanding dining experience.

At Cast & Taste, we believe in giving you complete control over your day. Customize your trip and menu to suit your preferences. Whether you prefer a gourmet cookout or a lavish BBQ spread, our chef will ensure that every dish is prepared to perfection.
Catch & Release
During the Summer months, we encourage an early start so we can be on the water before it gets too warm. This can also provide some excellent dry fly fishing opportunities. Many of the trout on our private water grow very large, and it is not uncommon to hook them. Be prepared for an incredible battle and allow our guides to coach you to victory. All fish that are caught must be released after capturing the moment on camera. All photos taken will be shared with you via email at the end of the day so you can brag about your trophy.
Target Species
Our Cast N Taste trips are offered year-round. December – February, we only offer wade fishing.
Our most common catches are rainbow trout and brown trout; we do get occasional cutthroat trout.
We practice catch and release, so all fish caught must be released immediately. We are more than happy to take photos of your trip/ fish and email them to you at the end of the day.
Where We Fish
Our Cast N Taste trips are centered around fishing and dining near our private riverfront cabin on the Eagle River. Located in Wolcott, it’s a short drive from Vail and the surrounding areas.
What's Included
On our Cast & Taste Trips, everything is taken care of, everything is considered. For the fishing, we’ve got all of your gear and tackle covered. All of the meals are hand-prepared by our chef and the coolers are loaded with ice with plenty of room for your beverages of choice.
What To Bring
Our trips go out rain, snow, or shine and require that you prepare for the weather. Bring a rain jacket or waterproof shell to help keep you warm and dry.
Be sure to bring your camera. There is an abundance of bird life along the river, and we often see Eagles, Owls, Ospreys, and Hawks. We occasionally run into some Deer, Elk, and Moose as well.
