Colorado Private Water Fly Fishing

Benefits Of Our Private Water
Having the ability to guide on private water allows us to show anglers beautiful pieces of water that anglers normally do not have access to. We have our own private water section right outside our door that provides some of the best Fly Fishing on the Eagle River. If you wish to fish for multiple days, we can accommodate your request by arranging accommodations close to the watershed. It is a relaxing way to spend a few days on the river searching for trout that call these areas home.

Your Own Private River
The benefit to booking a trip on Private Water is that you & your group will be the only anglers on that stretch of river. This means there is no rush out the door to try and secure your spot on any one section of the river. We are free to stop for lunch without the worry of another group sliding into our spot and start fishing. Our Private Water Fly Fishing Trips are perfect for novice anglers as well as experienced anglers who are looking for a little more privacy on the river.

Less Pressure On The Fish
Private water is also less pressured, meaning that fish see fewer anglers, hence fewer flies drifting by their face. This does not mean that you will catch a fish on every cast; you will still need a good drift and presentation to fool a trout.

Trout Opportunities
Our private water is home to large Trout that will put your wits and patience to the test. Be prepared for a fierce battle of tug of war with some of these large private water fish. Private water trips are highly sought after; therefore, these trips must be booked in advance. Contact us at any time for more information, and we will create an excellent Private Water Fly Fishing Trip for you and your guests.

Target Species

Our most common catches are rainbow trout and brown trout; we do get occasional cutthroat trout.

We practice catch and release, so all fish caught must be released immediately. We are more than happy to take photos of your trip/ fish and email them to you at the end of the day.
