They are especially responsive to streamer presentations, with a 5:1 ratio of brown trout to rainbow trout when using streamers. Rainbow Trout

Rainbow trout in Colorado are known for their love of insects, especially in the center of rivers where the bug life is most abundant. These fish are opportunistic feeders, thriving on both subsurface bugs during their life cycle and transitioning to dry flies as they mature, particularly enjoying the hatches of the Eagle River.
