Having the ability to guide on private water allows us to show anglers beautiful pieces of water that anglers normally do not have access to. We have our own private water section right outside our door that provides some of the best Fly Fishing in on the Eagle River. If you wish to fish for multiple days, we can accommodate your request by arranging accommodations close to the watershed. Multi-day private water trips are a fun adventure that allow anglers to take advantage of multiple private sections of river that you might not get to see in one day. It is a relaxing way to spend a few days on the river searching for trophy trout that call these areas home.

YOUR OWN PRIVATE RIVER

The benefit to booking a trip on Private water is that you & your group will be the only anglers on that stretch of river. This means there is no rush out the door to try and secure your spot on any one section of river. We are free to stop for lunch without the worry of another group sliding into our spot and start fishing. Our Private Water Fly Fishing Trips are perfect for novice anglers as well as experienced anglers who are looking for a little more privacy on the river.

LESS PRESSURE ON THE FISH

Private water is also less pressured, meaning that fish see fewer anglers hence fewer flies drifting by their face. This does not mean that you will catch a fish on every cast; you will still need a good drift and presentation to fool a trout.

Many of our private water leases are home to large Trout that will put your wits and patience to the test. Be prepared for a fierce battle of tug o war with some of these large private water fish. Private water trips are highly sought after therefore these trips must be booked in advance. Our guides will pick you up at your location or you can meet us at our private cabin in Wolcott, CO prior to the trip (where you may be fishing). We then will bring you to a private river section where we will get geared up for the day.

During the Summer months we encourage an early start so we can be on the water before it gets too warm. This also can provide some excellent dry fly fishing opportunities. Many of the trout on our private water grow very large and it is not uncommon to hook them. Be prepared for an incredible battle and allow our guides to coach you to victory.

During full day trips our guides will set up a riverside lunch with table and chairs. Cold beverages and snacks will be available for you whenever you need them. All fish that are caught must be released after capturing the moment on camera. All photos taken will be shared with you via email at the end of the day so you can brag about your trophy.

Don't Forget!

Sunglasses, Hat, Raincoat, Sunscreen, Camera, Lip Balm, Socks. Our trips go out rain or shine and suggest that you prepare for weather. Our guides have extra gear for rent with them but we highly recommend you bring a raincoat and a warm layer just incase.

What to Expect

Regardless of the trip you choose to do, our guides will pick you up at your location or you can meet us at our private cabin in Wolcott, CO. Once you are at our fishing destination our professional fly fishing guides will work with you on the water and educate you on fly fishing techniques. We practice Catch and release so all fish caught must be released immediately. We are more than happy to take photos of your trip/fish and will email them to you at the end of the day. Full day wade trips include a riverside lunch complete with table and chairs. Our guides also have a cooler full of ice cold beverages for your convenience as well as snacks to munch on during your trip.
