Fly Fishing Report Colorado River
Currently the Colorado River is flowing around 4790 cfs in Kremmling CO and is going up. The water is flowing over the river banks and thru in the willows. The rapids and wave trains are very large, intimidating and difficult to navigate. If you are an inexperienced oarsmen/ rafter we recommend that you stay away from the Upper Colorado River above Rancho Del Rio. Our guides have been fishing the lower sections of the Colorado River with some success. The bobber fishing has been fair and we are occasionally getting a trout to eat a dry fly in the giant recirculating eddies. The streamer fishing has also been decent but with fluctuating water flows be prepared for a difficult day on the river. Keep an eye on the graphs, hopefully we have reached peak runoff and water levels on the Colorado River will begin to drop. Have a great holiday weekend. Happy 4th of July.
